24-Hour Crisis Hotline
The Counseling Center at CL&SH provides free one-on-one therapy to victims of crime, particularly domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence. Our service is primarily focused on individuals living in Bibb, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, and Twiggs Counties in Central Georgia.
The goal of the Counseling Center is to help mitigate the effects of the trauma of domestic and sexual violence by offering individualized, confidential counseling services, provided by licensed professionals. Due to COVID-19, we are currently using a telemental health platform to provide services.
The Counseling Center provides diagnostic assessments, individual counseling, and support groups. These services offer individuals an opportunity to get information and develop ideas, plans and coping skills that will improve the safety, resiliency, and overall wellbeing
To access counseling services, call our hotline 24-hours-a-day at 478-745-9292 and one of our advocates will complete a counseling referral.
The Counseling Center services are generally provided to individuals 18 years and older; however, counselors can discuss services for older adolescents and referrals can be provided for younger children. Community referrals will be made as needed to help clients meet their needs and reach their goals.
