Counseling

The Counseling Center at Crisis Line & Safe House is staffed by two licensed therapists who provide individual counseling and lead support groups for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

We provide free, one-on-one therapy to victims of crime, particularly domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence. Our goal is to help mitigate the effects of trauma caused by domestic and sexual violence by offering individualized and confidential counseling services provided by licensed professionals.

These services offer individuals an opportunity to get information and develop ideas, plans and coping skills that will improve their safety, resiliency, and overall well-being.

Counseling services are generally provided to individuals aged 18 and older, however counselors can discuss services for older adolescents and provide referrals for younger children. Community referrals will be made as needed to help clients meet their needs and reach their goals.

Our services are primarily focused on individuals living in Bibb, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, and Twiggs counties.

Due to COVID-19, we are currently using a telemental health platform to provide services.

To access counseling services, call our 24-hour hotline at (478)745-9292. One of our advocates will complete a counseling referral.
