Crisis Line & Safe House provides services to adult and adolescent victims of sexual assault. Sexual Assault Centers are located in Macon and Warner Robins where Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) are available to perform forensic medical exams and advocates are available to provide accompaniment during exams 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Please don’t shower or change clothes, but if you have, you may still be able to have a forensic medical exam.
Crisis Line & Safe House offers many services free of charge, so it is important that we speak with you as soon after an assault as possible to let you know about your options. Even if it has been days, weeks or years, we have services available for you.
In addition to providing immediate bedside advocacy, our sexual assault advocates provide assistance during any medical follow-ups, law enforcement interviews and court appearances. Advocates also act as a referral source to help transition victims into one-on-one professional counseling and other community resources.
All services are provided free of charge. Call (478) 745-9292 to speak with a nurse concerning a forensic medical exam or to an advocate for all other services.
Our goal is for you to have a forensic medical exam as soon after an assault as possible. Please call and discuss your options so that the best plan for YOU can be made. We support your decisions and are here to assist you in the healing process.
